WME Exam 1 Resources — Official CSI Links

Official CSI resources for WME Exam 1: course page, curriculum, exam credits, and the current WME route-status note.

Use these CSI sources when you need the current WME structure, weighting, and course-status notes rather than an older registration-path summary. WME has changed meaningfully as a proficiency route, so the official CSI course page matters more here than recycled prep-provider copy.

What to confirm before you commit to WME at all

CheckWhy it matters
whether your reason for taking WME is tied to CIRO approval with an Investment Dealerthe current route note may change the usefulness of WME for that purpose
whether the broader regular wealth route is actually what you needsome candidates really need WME, while others really need FP I or a different lane
whether you need a live route or only legacy understandingolder notes can make WME look more universally current than it now is

Current route note

As of April 17, 2026, CSI says that effective January 1, 2026 WME is no longer acceptable for the purposes of CIRO approval with an Investment Dealer. If your reason for taking WME is tied to registration or approval, treat the current CSI course page and the CIRO proficiency site as the controlling sources.

Strongest review sequence

StepWhy it works
start with the course pageit tells you whether WME still fits your route use case now
move to the exam-credits pageit tells you how the 100-question Exam 1 is weighted
use the curriculum page lastit gives the full chapter order once the route and weighting are clear
then move into exact web practicethat is the right stage to train speed on the live structure

Common weak resource habits

  • relying on older WME registration-path assumptions without checking the current course page
  • treating the paper as product trivia instead of a client-fit and planning-foundation exam
  • memorizing formulas without tying them to a planning decision or client constraint
  • moving into mixed sets before the discovery and planning vocabulary is stable

Strongest use of the official source set

SourceBest use
course pageconfirm whether WME is still the right live route for your use case
exam-credits pageisolate the current Exam 1 structure and weighting once route fit is confirmed
curriculumkeep the chapter order aligned after the route decision is already made
exact web practicetrain speed and mixed judgment only after the route and structure are clear

Route-choice check

If you mainly need…Better first instinct
the first multiple-choice half of the traditional wealth routeWME Exam 1
the case-based second halfWME Exam 2
the planning bridge variant still relevant for transition candidatesWME-FP Exam 1
deeper CSI planning developmentFP I

How to use these WME resources

  • Use the curriculum page as the whole-course map, then use the exam-credits page to isolate what matters most for WME Exam 1.
  • Use the course page when you need the current proficiency or course-status note, not just the chapter outline.
  • Recheck the official CSI pages before enrolling or using WME for a registration decision, because course status and proficiency relevance can change faster than prep notes.
  • If your real need is the case-based half, compare with WME Exam 2.
  • If your real question is WME or FP I?, answer that on the official course page first and then use the exam-credits page to confirm whether you need the broader wealth route or the deeper planning-development lane.
