Official CSI resources for WME Exam 2: course page, curriculum, exam credits, and the current WME route-status note.
On this page
Use these CSI sources when you need the current WME structure, weighting, and course-status notes rather than an older registration-path summary. Exam 2 is the case-based half of the course, so the exam-credits page is especially useful here.

What to confirm before you commit to WME at all
Check
Why it matters
whether your reason for taking WME is tied to CIRO approval with an Investment Dealer
the current route note may change the usefulness of WME for that purpose
whether the broader regular wealth case route is actually what you need
some candidates really need WME, while others really need FP II or a different lane
whether you need a live route or only legacy understanding
older notes can make WME look more universally current than it now is
Current route note
As of April 17, 2026, CSI says that effective January 1, 2026 WME is no longer acceptable for the purposes of CIRO approval with an Investment Dealer. If your reason for taking WME is tied to registration or approval, treat the current CSI course page and the CIRO proficiency site as the controlling sources.
Strongest review sequence
Step
Why it works
start with the course page
it tells you whether WME still fits your route use case now
move to the exam-credits page
it tells you how the 65-question case exam is weighted
use the curriculum page last
it gives the chapter order once the route and weighting are clear
then move into exact web practice
that is the right stage to train case pacing on the live structure
Common weak resource habits
relying on older WME route assumptions without checking the current course page
treating Exam 2 like a collection of isolated facts instead of a case-priority exam
doing math inside a case before identifying the real client issue
reviewing retirement, estate, and investment blocks without reconnecting them to case ranking
Strongest use of the official source set
Source
Best use
course page
confirm whether WME is still the right live route for your use case
exam-credits page
isolate the current Exam 2 case structure and weighting once route fit is confirmed
curriculum
keep the chapter order aligned after the route decision is already made
exact web practice
train case pacing and mixed judgment only after the route and structure are clear
Route-choice check
If you mainly need…
Better first instinct
the case-based second half of the traditional wealth route
Use the curriculum page as the whole-course map, then use the exam-credits page to isolate what matters most for the case-based second exam.
Use the course page when you need the current proficiency or course-status note, not just the chapter outline.
Recheck the official CSI pages before enrolling or using WME for a registration decision, because course status and proficiency relevance can change faster than prep notes.
If your real need is the first multiple-choice half, compare with WME Exam 1.
If your real question is WME or FP II?, answer that on the official course page first and then use the exam-credits page to confirm whether you need the broader wealth case route or the deeper planning-development lane.
